Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The manuscript is original, unpublished, and is not currently under consideration by another journal or publication outlet.
- The file is submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx), OpenOffice, RTF, or another format compatible with the OJS platform.
- The manuscript complies with the formatting, structure, length, and style requirements described in the Instructions for Authors.
- The article includes a title, abstract, and keywords in both Spanish and English.
- All references cited in the text appear in the final reference list, and all references listed have been cited within the manuscript.
- References and in-text citations comply with the APA 7th edition style guidelines.
- Tables, figures, charts, maps, and illustrations include an appropriate title and source.
- Whenever possible, DOI identifiers, URLs, or other persistent identifiers have been included in the references.
- If the manuscript is subject to peer review, all author names, affiliations, acknowledgments, and any information that could identify the authors have been removed from the file.
- The submission complies with the journal’s editorial policies, ethical standards, and academic integrity requirements.
- The authors accept the conditions established in the sections on Publishing Rights, Copyright Notice, and the journal’s editorial policies.
Scientific Research
The articles sent shall be subject to the opinion of the Editorial committee, prior to double-blind review process. Likewise, in order to obtain its publication in the journal, they must comply with the following guidelines:
- Extension. The extension of the article should be between 10 to 20 pages. In addition, it should include a summary of no more than 150 words in Spanish and another abstract in another language, preferably English.
- Format.Articles in Spanish/English should be written in the format of letter-size paper; Margin: Upper 2.5 cm, lower 2.5 cm, left 3 cm and right 3 cm; Leading 1.5, previous paragraph 0 points, posterior paragraph 0 points; Arial font, size 12; Alignment of justified text. The title of the text will be in bold, Arial letter, size 14, centered alignment. The captions of the text will be in bold, Arial letter, size 12, left alignment.
- Use of charts, graphs, images and maps.The use of pictures, graphs, images and maps are the responsibility of the author of the article. These should be inserted at the end of the text, indicating where the text should be inserted. They should include the title, which should be at the top of the graph. In addition, you must include in the lower part the source of the chart. In the case of graphs, they must be appended in Excel format and in the case of pictures, images and maps in JPG or PNG format.
- Bibliographical references.The article allows the use of footnotes or at the end, with a format of: Arial font, size 9, left alignment; In addition, it will be set as limit 5 lines per note. The bibliography will be in APA model and can be placed inside the text. The complete bibliography will be displayed at the end of the document sorted alphabetically according to the APA model.
- Shipping. The articles must be sent through the OJS platform of the journal, validating that they do not have the names of the authors. Then it should be loaded on the journal’s platform. In case of doubt, please contact the editor at email is@uv.mx or interconectandosaberes@gmail.com
- General.The documents received must be unpublished and the editorial board will determine the quality and content of this to decide whether they should be published in the journal. If the text is approved, the appropriate style correction will be performed, and the author will be returned for review. Only those documents that comply with the standards of the journal will be published.
Opinion articles
We accept articles of opinion concerning to current issues and topics of interest for the interconnection of knowledge. These will be of free thought and relative to topics covered in the current call of papers. Its extension shall not be greater than 5 pages. These texts will be evaluated by the Editorial Commission.
Analysis of Violence from the Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities
The "Analysis of Violence" section of our journal aims to receive papers and articles derived from the first colloquium on the Analysis of Violence from arts, social sciences, and humanities. This section is the result of collaboration between CA Estudios en Educación (UV), CA Cultura y Sociedad (UDG), and the Faculty of History (UV).
This section welcomes contributions addressing the analysis of violence from various disciplinary perspectives. Topics may include, but are not limited to, artistic approaches, social sciences, and humanities research on the phenomenon of violence.
Authors must submit their contributions following the guidelines set by the Interconectando Saberes journal. The citation format is APA 7, and documents are expected to maintain an adequate length to comprehensively address the proposed topics.
Contributions will be accepted through the Interconectando Saberes journal platform. Authors are encouraged to provide complete information and follow detailed instructions for submission.
All contributions will undergo a double-blind peer-review process to ensure academic quality and relevance. The authors' identity will be kept confidential during this process.
Contributions will be evaluated based on criteria such as the originality of the approach, methodological rigor, and significant contribution to the analysis of violence. Authors are encouraged to consider these aspects in their submissions.
Acceptance for publication involves the transfer of copyright to the journal. Details regarding publication and copyright will adhere to ethical and legal standards.
Review results will be communicated to authors promptly, with the opportunity to receive additional feedback for improving the quality of contributions.
We appreciate the contributions of academics and collaborators to this section and look forward to receiving valuable research on the analysis of violence.
