Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The petition has not been previously published, nor has it been submitted to another journal (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the editor).
  • The file sent is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect format.
  • Web addresses have been added for references where possible.
  • Articles written in Spanish/English should have a letter-size paper; Margin: Upper 2.5 cm, lower 2.5 cm, left 3 cm and right 3 cm; Line spacing 1.5, previous paragraph 0 points, next paragraph 0 points; Text in Arial font, size 12; Alignment of justified text. Title in bold, Arial letter, size 14, centered alignment. The captions of the text in bold, Arial letter, size 12, left alignment. Abstract and Keywords with Arial font, size 12, left-aligned; Line spacing 1.

Author Guidelines

Opinion articles: These will be for an invitation from the Editorial Committee concerning the current issues and topics of interest for the interconnection of knowledge. These will be of free thought and relative to topics covered in the current call of papers. Its extension shall not be higher than five pages. The Editorial Committeewill review these texts.

 

Book review: This will be for an invitation from the Editorial Committee concerning a publication made by the researchers of the Institute of Research and Higher Studies Economic and Social (IIESES) of the Universidad Veracruzana. It will be review by the Editorial Committee.

 

Scientific Research: The articles sent shall be subject to the opinion of the Editorial Committee before the double-blind review process. Likewise, to obtain its publication in the journal, they must comply with the following guidelines:

  • Extension. The extension of the article should be between 10 to 20 pages (The paper can be in Spanish or English). Besides, it should include an abstract of no more than 150 words in Spanish and another in English. The article must have at least five keywords (in Spanish and English).
  • Format. Articles written in Spanish/English should have a letter-size paper; Margin: Upper 2.5 cm, lower 2.5 cm, left 3 cm and right 3 cm; Line spacing 1.5, previous paragraph 0 points, next paragraph 0 points; Text in Arial font, size 12; Alignment of justified text. Title in bold, Arial letter, size 14, centered alignment. The captions of the text in bold, Arial letter, size 12, left alignment. Abstract and Keywords with Arial font, size 12, left-aligned; Line spacing 1.
  • Use of Illustrations. The use of illustrations (considering photos, graphs, and maps), are the responsibility of the author(s) of the article. They should include the title, which should be at the top of the graph. Also, you must include in the lower part, the source of the chart. Graphs must be in Excel format. Pictures, images, or maps in JPG or PNG format.
  • Bibliographical references. The article allows the use of footnotes or at the end, with a composition of Arial font, size 9, left alignment, and a limit of five lines per note. The bibliography will be in APA 7 model. The complete list of references will be at the end of the document sorted alphabetically according to the APA model.
  • Shipping. The articles must be sent through the OJS platform of the journal, validating that they do not have the names of the authors. In case of doubt, please contact the editor at email is@uv.mx
  • General. The documents received must be unpublished, and the Editorial Committee within the review process will determine the publication in the journal based on the quality and content of the manuscript.
