Abstract
The objective of the work is the hydrodynamic analysis of a duct laying vessel, type S. The analysis was made for the conditions of the Gulf of Mexico, considering a laying under the conditions of this sea. The work was carried out with numerical models, examining the boat in different points of the same one. In accordance with the pre-established characteristics, in each of the analysis points, the ship's speed ranges and different incident angles were evaluated. Taking as a basis the partition in each of the points, that RAO (Amplitude Response Operators by its acronym in English), which is called the response of the duct laying vessel, subject to a level of unit amplitude, in the domain of frequency. Obtaining it made it possible to estimate the response of the vessel to the situation in accordance with the environmental conditions of the Gulf of Mexico.
