Abstract
The intrinsic complexity of the administrative and productive processes of the construction industry in Mexico derives in the need for the intensive use of information and communication technologies. The study carried out in the central region of Mexico is part of a doctoral research. It proposes an overlay of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and the Project Definition Rating Index (PDRI). The results of the case study are approached with descriptive statistics tools and correlation tables. The identification of areas of opportunity for the improvement of the productive processes of small and medium construction companies is conclusive. Foundations are also laid for future research under the proposed model.
