Abstract
The Law career is considered one of the basic sciences of university studies, a degree as old as man, which has helped to establish and create today's society. The students and professionals of this social science will contribute to shaping the society of the future, a fundamental goal for human development in optimal conditions. In the field of Cuban historiography, the historicity of institutional aspects within the framework of the so-called social history is insufficient. Hence the belonging of this research whose General Objective is to reveal the historical evolution of the Law degree at the University of Granma, highlighting its transcendent contribution to local development. The study is supported by the dialectical-materialist methodology, in the methods: historical-logical, inductive-inductive, analysis-synthesis; Techniques such as the interview were used to arrive at the general considerations and establish the particularities of the problem in question.
