Abstract
Caring for a family member with Alzheimer's is emotionally demanding. This study aims to highlight the burdens faced by caregivers of Alzheimer's patients, who are their loved ones, and to comprehend the emotional and physical impacts. To achieve this, we employed a qualitative methodology. Through a case study approach, we delved into the experiences of primary caregivers, enabling in-depth analysis. The results uncovered mental exhaustion due to concerns and emotional challenges as the disease progressed and behavior changed. Caregivers also felt physically drained due to the daily care demands. Despite these trials, their love and commitment to their loved ones drive them to persist in providing care. In conclusion, based on the research findings, caregivers of those with Alzheimer's, be it spouses, children, or siblings, undertake this role propelled not just by blood ties, but also by a sincere affection cultivated over time.
