Abstract
This article explores the interrelationship between emotions and educational quality in Mexico, highlighting how socioemotional skills can influence the design of effective solutions to educational problems. Through a comprehensive analysis of educational policies and their impacts, persistent challenges are identified and strategies are proposed to improve educational quality by integrating social-emotional skills into the curriculum. Recent educational policies, the historical evolution of the educational system, and current programs are evaluated in terms of equity and quality are examined. The article concludes with recommendations for designing educational solutions that comprehensively address both the cognitive and emotional aspects of learning, with the goal of creating a more inclusive and equitable educational system.
