Anti-Plagiarism

Authors must guarantee that manuscripts submitted to Interconectando Saberes are original, unpublished, and are not under consideration or editorial review by any other journal or academic publication.

Originality Verification:

As part of its academic plagiarism prevention policy, the journal subjects submitted manuscripts to a similarity review using the iThenticate plagiarism detection software prior to the peer-review process. More information about this tool is available at: https://crosscheck.ithenticate.com/

Similarity Criteria

Any manuscript exceeding a 20% similarity index will be considered a potential case of plagiarism. In such cases, the journal will conduct an editorial analysis of the source of the similarities, considering the proper use of citations, references, paraphrasing, and any justified similarities.

When a possible case of plagiarism is identified, the editorial team will request clarification from the corresponding author. If no response is received, or if the explanation and corrections do not satisfactorily resolve the issue, the manuscript will be rejected.

Identification and Handling of Research Misconduct

Plagiarism

Plagiarism is understood as the total or partial reproduction of another person’s work, whether published or unpublished, without proper attribution to the original authors. Any manuscript in which a potential case of plagiarism is detected will be returned to the authors for clarification or correction. In cases of recurrence, lack of response, or failure to resolve the issue, the manuscript will be rejected.

Simultaneous Submission

Simultaneous submission of the same manuscript to another journal, publisher, or academic publication constitutes editorial misconduct. If such a situation is identified, the manuscript will be disqualified from the editorial process and rejected for publication in Interconectando Saberes.

Manipulation of the Peer-Review Process

In the event of detecting conflicts of interest, attempts at undue influence, identity falsification, review manipulation, or any irregularity in the peer-review process, the corresponding review report will be invalidated and a new reviewer will be appointed. Depending on the severity of the case, the manuscript may be rejected.
